a 360º addiction
recovery approach

At The Bridge we know that addiction is complex and that most addicts have experienced years of self-neglect and destructive habits which has left them weak, ill and unable to cope with the challenges of life. This is why we offer a 360⁰ approach to recovery and alongside the conventional addiction treatments and therapies we also work with you to improve your body, your mind and build strength and resilience. We are also associated with two private doctors and a psychiatrist to make sure you can receive the help you need during your stay.

Our Fitness Manager and nutritionist provides 1-1 training as well as group exercise sessions for our clients to build up their physical fitness and improve their mood and attitude. We also use yoga, incorporating breathing exercises and meditation, as well as postures for flexibility and strength to give clients a deeper connection with their body and mind and tools to deal with stress and anxiety.

Alongside exercise, clients will enjoy delicious and nourishing food, cooked by our resident chef and receive nutrition and body image coaching, to understand how to have a healthy relationship with food and exercise.

Lastly, we offer sleep coaching, as we find that this is a problem for many of our clients who are dealing with addiction. We have a personalised programme which is designed to identify the barriers to your sleep, offer tools to encourage better sleep and greatly improve your quality of life. Please contact The Bridge to discuss how this 360⁰ approach to addiction treatment could help you or your loved one, or find out more about how we work on our blog.

luxury addiction treatment
under the sun

We have chosen Andalusia as the perfect location for our private rehabilitation centre, as we believe it offers the best possible environment to follow an addiction treatment program. Andalusia boasts 300 days of sunshine a year, has easy access to the beach and sea, as well as stunning countryside. Feeling the sun on your skin, swimming in our pool or in the sea and connecting with nature really helps to boost your mood. The power of Vitamin Sea and seeing sunny skies will definitely complement your addiction treatment programme.

We also find that the physical removal from your home country and all the problems tied up with your addiction is very useful to obtain perspective. Our luxury addiction treatment centre includes a pool, beautiful gardens, spacious rooms with en-suite bathrooms and large comfortable areas for your treatment and group sessions. There are many spaces inside and outside to allow you to find the right place to recover and heal.

There are regular, affordable flights to Andalusia from the UK and Europe and we can support your travel by providing a sober coach as a travel companion.  Contact The Bridge Marbella to see photographs of our private rehabilitation centre, or request a virtual tour of our luxury rehab facilities.

Our
Approach

At The Bridge we take a tough, no-nonsense approach to recovery, following a programme of abstinence. We are patient, kind and understanding, but our programme is non-negotiable and we require our clients to put the work in, as that’s the only way they will see the results they deserve. Our Founders all have personal experience of recovery from addiction and are committed to a strict and clear programme which is underpinned by the belief that abstinence is the only effective approach to deal with addictions. We understand how hard it can be from personal experience, but have also turned our lives around and are a great example of what is possible when you really commit to making a change.

Our qualified and experienced team work hard to get to the root of the problem. We involve the families to get the complete picture and to setup a support system at home to enable long-term recovery. We want to help as many people as possible, from all walks of life and our treatment is highly effective for people who really want to be well and are prepared to put the work in to their own recovery.

Meet the team

The Bridge is at its very heart a family run business. Set up by the Silver family, all of whom have personal experience of addiction, the Founders are supported by a team of qualified and experienced therapists and medical professionals.

We’re proud of our small team. We’ve brought together a core team of accredited professionals and specialists, who work together to aid your recovery. You will be made to feel part of the family during your stay and receive the best care, with addiction treatment programmes tailored to you. Here are the people who you will meet and be supported by during your time in our private rehabilitation centre.

Howard
Silver

Howard is the co-founder of The Bridge. He started using prescription drugs from the age of 16. When he was 34 he started to use cocaine and then heroin, and his successful business and family life fell apart. After several arrests and with nowhere to live he entered rehab aged 41 and although he suffered and struggled for many years, he stayed clean and got the help he needed to get his life and sense of self back after addiction. In 2021 he celebrated his 33rd clean and sober year. He says that opening The Bridge “is a dream come true – the perfect way to give a life back to people who need help the most. People like me.”

Zalyia
Silver

Zalyia co-founded The Bridge with her husband Howard and daughter Ali in 2019. She had a very difficult experience with addiction, developing a serious eating disorder and addiction to drinking by the age of 18, which continued for many years. She started attending self-help groups to deal with her bulimia and drinking in her 30s and despite a series of devastating losses she was able to stay clean and sober through therapy and AA. She is now 30 years sober and says that with The Bridge she is creating “the perfect rehab facility to really help people, through addiction and life beyond.”

Ali
Silver

Ali grew up attending 12 Step meetings with her parents and even from a young age could relate to what she heard there. She struggled to fit in and suffered from anxiety and the feeling of disconnection from others. To control her fears and feelings she developed a severe but short-lived eating disorder. Thankfully, her experience with support groups through her family made her know it was OK to get help and she started with therapy, meetings and educated herself about addiction and mental illness. She is a nutritional therapist, has studied psychodynamic counselling and is a qualified eating disorder practitioner, helping patients at The Bridge and young people in schools to deal with body image, eating disorders and nutrition.

Choosing the right rehabilitation centre for you

We hope this page has helped you to understand more about The Bridge and how we help people to deal with addictions. However, we know that choosing the right rehabilitation centre to suit your particular addiction and needs is crucial. Rest assured that we know that we can’t help everyone and will only take people that we really believe we can help. We will undertake a thorough assessment, a truthful diagnosis of the issues and then decide if and how we can best help you. If your issues fall outside our specialities, we can make recommendations and referrals for the right facility for you, to make sure you get the best possible care for your individual needs. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
