We offer a tough, non-negotiable addiction treatment programme based on abstinence which is highly effective for people who really want to be well and are prepared to put the work in to aid their own recovery.

Our Founders have personally faced alcohol and drug addiction as well as eating disorders, and have the experience of what it takes to recover. They have brought together a team of qualified therapists, specialists and medical professionals to provide the very best addiction treatment possible, along with luxury rehabilitation facilities. As a boutique private rehabilitation centre, we purposefully keep group sizes small and this enables us to provide personalised, bespoke addiction treatment, with an emphasis on long-term recovery.

The Bridge has been created to help people with the following issues live a full and happy life. Please contact our patient and understanding team to discuss if we’re the right private rehabilitation centre for you.

Alcohol
Addiction

Alcoholism is defined as a condition in which a person has a desire or physical need to consume alcohol, even though it has a negative impact on their life. Signs that you are suffering from alcoholism include being unable to limit the amount of alcohol you drink, failing to reduce how much you drink, feeling a strong craving or urge to drink alcohol and experiencing withdrawal symptoms when you don’t drink. At The Bridge we offer private alcoholism treatment at our alcohol rehab in Spain. We are here to help you stop drinking, improve your health and to live a happy and full life without alcohol. We use a programme of abstinence and addiction treatment which includes individual therapy, group therapy, behavioural therapy, trauma therapy and the 12 Step programme. Alongside the therapy we teach our clients to communicate, live in a healthy way and provide tools to overcome hardships without turning to alcohol. We believe that anyone can stop drinking, but in order to make it last a person needs to change and get to the root of the problem.

Drug
Addiction

Drug addiction is defined by the National Institute on Drug Abuse as “a chronic disease characterized by drug seeking and use that is compulsive, or difficult to control, despite harmful consequences”. It is applied to the addiction to legal or illegal drugs or medications. Using drugs causes changes to the brain which affects a drug addict’s self-control, increases their tolerance to the drug and leads to cravings and withdrawal symptoms if they attempt to stop. If you are experiencing any of these issues, there is help out there.

The Bridge is a drug rehab centre in Spain which offers a range of drug counselling and addiction treatment programs tailored to your needs. We can support you through a drug detox prescribed by a Private GP and teach you how to stop taking drugs when you return home. Our private rehabilitation centre is a safe place for you to break away from your drug use, with qualified therapists and kind, patient staff members that know what you’re going through. We offer individual therapy, group therapy, behavioural therapy and the 12 Step programme. We also offer trauma therapy and work with you to get to the root of why you use, as well as offering nutrition and fitness training and coaching to build up your strength and teach you how to live a healthy life without drugs.

Gambling
Addiction

Compulsive gambling is when you have an uncontrollable urge to keep gambling no matter what effect it has on your life and finances. It can stimulate your brain’s reward system in a very similar way to drugs and alcohol and this can lead to a gambling disorder. Signs that you have a problem with gambling include continually betting despite losses, hiding your behaviour, depleting savings and accumulating debts and even resorting to theft or fraud to fund your habit.

We understand that compulsive gambling can destroy the lives of the addict and their family and we are here to help you to break the cycle of addiction through professional treatment. The Bridge offers a private rehabilitation centre with luxury rehab facilities which are tailored to you and your unique issue. We work with you to acknowledge that you are a compulsive gambler and treat the problem through a number of therapies, including individual and group therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. Following a 12 Step programme and providing coping strategies to prevent relapse allows you to regain a sense of control, as well as help heal damaged relationships, face financial problems and resolve them. Our luxury addiction treatment centre in Andalusia is a discreet and safe space to face your gambling addiction head on and receive help from qualified therapists so you can rebuild your life and your relationships.

Anxiety
Disorder

If you respond to situations with fear or dread, or regularly experience things such as a pounding heart and sweating, you may be suffering from an anxiety disorder. This can interfere with your ability to function, make you overreact when your emotions are triggered and means you can’t control your responses to situations. An anxiety disorder can be debilitating – but don’t worry, there is help out there.

Here at The Bridge we offer individual and group therapy, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and trauma therapy from qualified therapists and experienced specialists. Depression

Depression is more than simply just feeling blue, or unhappy that something has gone wrong in our lives. It is a psychiatric disorder which is often severe and long lasting, no matter if you have things to feel happy about or not. It often interferes with people’s daily lives and can impact on relationships, work and health. Read a list of depression symptoms from Healthline to help you identify whether you are suffering from depression. If you think you are, we recommend that you seek treatment, as it is a serious medical condition which can get worse if you do not get the right care.

Our qualified therapists can help you to deal with your depression through individual and group therapy, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and trauma therapy. Alongside the therapy, our experienced specialists will work with you on other aspects of your life which can be contributing to your depression. They will offer coping strategies and tools for dealing with it, lifting your mood in positive ways. Our luxury villa in Andalusia offers a beautiful place to be, under sunny skies, with views of the sea and a connection with nature – all of which have all be proven to improve mood and enhance the feeling of wellbeing. We have a Fitness Manager to provide 1-1 training and group exercise for our clients and will develop an exercise regime to help you manage depression and anxiety. Our programmes also include sleep coaching, nutrition and body image coaching, and yoga to help strengthen and calm the mind and improve the way that you feel alongside your therapy. Alternatively, we can support you through our non-residential dayhab or offer online therapy programmes if you’d prefer to seek help from the comfort of your own home. Please contact us to find out how we can help you to manage your depression and improve your quality of life.

Families
of Addicts

As well as helping the addicts themselves, we also offer support for the families that are having to deal with the fallout from addiction. We offer family therapy, with or without the addict, for all members of the family including children. The Bridge is also committed to the best possible communication with the families while the client is receiving treatment within our private rehabilitation centre. As part of the therapy, families are also involved when the clients are ready, to allow for effective communication and repair the damage to relationships caused by the addiction. Find out more about why family therapy is so important when dealing with addictions on our blog or reach out to us if your family member needs help.

What if your issue falls outside these categories?

Everyone is different and in many cases our clients will be suffering from a number of issues at once. We try to tailor our care to be as individual as you are, but we know that we can’t help everyone!

At The Bridge, we only take people that we really feel we can help, as the priority is your health and wellbeing. In order to decide whether to take a client we conduct a thorough assessment and provide our client and their family with a truthful diagnosis of the issues. If we believe we can help you, we will make a clear plan of how we would treat your addiction, the underlying problems and how long we feel your treatment would last. If your issues fall outside our specialities, we can make recommendations and referrals for the right facility for you, to make sure you get the best possible care for your individual needs.

Whatever you’re dealing with please reach out and ask for help. You don’t need to struggle alone. Contact us to discuss your issues and how we can support you.
