We believe that secondary care is crucial to a long-term recovery from addiction. To offer quality care, we’ve created a new dayhab programme for clients who are sober and have already gone through their primary programme and want further support. This is a way to ease your transition into your normal life, with the freedom to live independently, alongside regular support and a tailor-made programme to continue your journey to a long-term recovery.
How dayhab at The Bridge can help you
If you are looking for a stepping stone from residential rehabilitation support to independence, dayhab is an excellent option. We know from personal experience how difficult the transition is from full time, residential care to returning to your normal life. You can feel isolated and not equipped to deal with the triggers and temptations of your old life. However, if you combine the return home with daily visits to The Bridge we can guide you through it. We are based in the hills close to Marbella, so we can work with anyone living in Southern Spain or who would like to live on the Costa del Sol while they work on their recovery.
At the core of our dayhab programme is therapy, 12 Step meetings, 12 Step study and big book study and a healthy lunch. However, we tailor the service to you and work around your requirements and struggles day-to-day. We can offer personal training, yoga, extra coaching and more to ensure that you obtain the maximum value out of your time with us.
Your afternoons and evenings are your own and you don’t live on site, so you have an opportunity to apply what you’re learning. You’re able to spend time with friends and family and establish healthy and positive habits and integrate them into your life. The regular sessions with the qualified professionals at The Bridge will help you do just that. Knowing that you have a safe place to ask for help and share your fears and concerns enables you to rebuild your life without drugs or alcohol.
We suggest coming to dayhab for one or two months after leaving residential rehab to complete that transition. Enabling you to fully embed your new routines and habits and set you on the right path to abstinence and recovery without relapse.
How it has helped others
We have recently worked with a client from Denmark who went to a residential rehabilitation centre to detox from drugs and alcohol in Spain. However, she didn’t enjoy the experience and decided to leave, but wanted to continue her recovery and stay in Spain. She now comes to The Bridge four times a week for one-to-one therapy sessions, including trauma therapy, EDMR and 12 Step sessions. She enjoys chatting with the team and talking recovery and is really enjoying the experience and responding well. She has been with us for a month and plans to do another month to ensure long term success.
The recovery journey
The end of your stay at a residential rehabilitation is only the start of your journey, which is why we have designed our dayhab programme. Our founders have personal experience of the hardship and difficulties of coming out of rehab and learning how to return to life on the outside without the crutch of alcohol or drugs. We know that recovery is not a destination, or a race and that we all need to ask for help from time to time to keep us sober, clean and living our best lives. We hope that our new dayhab programme will offer that help and maximise the chance of a long-term recovery for our clients.
Please get in touch, we’re here to help no matter where you are on your recovery journey and look forward to hearing from you.
